Here I am sharing my own experiences, insights and ideas around Passive Optical LAN and it's many applications. And I aim to take it one step further by exploring how POL can be a platform to enable a truly digital future. A future in which we can take advantage of the many exciting technologies that are coming our way (IoT, smart buildings, ...)
The term Digital Transformation has been thrown around a lot in recent years, and I belief that POL is one critical component for this evolution.
Passive Optical LAN is a optical fiber based LAN implementation using the GPON technology. So I start with describing the basics of the POL solutions.
I hope this will be an interactive experience where I learn from your inputs at the same time as you learn from what I have to share.
